Pruning a tree is not the same as “cutting limbs”. Deciding which limbs to prune off is only half the battle. It is very important that each limb is pruned by tree trimmers at the right place, with the right tool, using the right technique, and at the proper time of year. An ISA Certified Arborist has been trained in pruning trees the right way, and the entire Treegorilla crew is trained by Certified Arborists on the proper way to prune. Sometimes tree pruning can be performed from a bucket truck, when there is good access to the tree, and the canopy is wide open allowing the bucket operator to move the arm of the boom throughout the canopy. Often tree pruning must be done by tree climbers, when there is no bucket truck access, or when the tree is too dense to move the bucket around in the interior of the canopy. When pruning a tree by climbing, using the appropriate safety equipment is a must. Treegorilla trains all crew members to climb safely using approved equipment and techniques. We never wear spikes or hooks on our boots when we are pruning a tree, only on removals. Spikes cause deep wounds in the stem of the tree, and can cause disease or decay problems.
Tree removal is often a sad reality for homeowners with trees on their property. Over time, trees can lose structural integrity due to disease or storm damage and need to be removed to prevent damage to people and property.

Ask about our “make it disappear” complete tree and stump removal special.
Stump removal is done with a machine called a stump grinder. It chips away the stump and surface roots, up to a depth of 10-12 inches below grade. After the stump is ground out, there is a pile of mulch created by the stump grinder. Our basic stump grinding price includes grinding the stump, and raking the grindings (mulch) back into a pile over the hole.
We can haul off the stump grindings and rake clean to provide the “make it disappear” option at an additional charge. Many of our customers choose to save the money for hauling it away, and just use the mulch in their flower beds, or for making mulch rings around trees, or in the their gardens.
When it comes to trees, you never know when an emergency may happen. Even seemingly healthy trees can have internal structural problems or damaged roots. Trees can break, uproot, or come down unexpectedly, causing damage to people, structures, or property. Tornados, ice storms, thunderstorms, and straightline winds can also bring down large limbs and trees.
Treegorilla is here for homeowners and businesses 24/7 and we put your emergencies first. We will respond quickly, assess the damages, and prioritize emergency jobs on our work schedule. We use the utmost care and safety when doing emergency work to minimize damage. When you have a tree emergency, don’t stress, just give us a call. Our team is mobile and acts quickly after a big storm hits. In an emergency situation, be sure that you act fast and get help.
At Treegorilla we believe in recycling, reducing, and reusing as much of our waste as possible. In that spirit, we are proud to offer free wood chips if you have a convenient place for us to dump a truckload at a time. Contact us today to get on our chip drop list.
We keep split seasoned firewood on hand year round. If you are heating your house in January or roasting marshmallows over a campfire in August, having plenty of dry wood is the best way to ensure you are good to go. We check our firewood with a moisture meter to make sure you don’t have green wood that’s hard to light. Delivery and stacking services are also available.
Tree climbing combined with handling a scared cat, even if your own, is extremely dangerous.
A cat, which is stuck in a tree, should be rescued by someone with both climbing experience and the proper climbing equipment. Remember, your cat would not want you to injure yourself or to become a second stuck victim.
If you’ve given your cat what seems to you enough time to come down on it’s own but the cat seems unlikely to climb down the tree, then a professional should be called.

Ornamental pruning creates an attractive yard and enhances the health of your trees. Abundant branches can actually limit the amount of light your tree receives. Additionally, un-pruned trees and shrubs give your yard an un-kept appearance.
Ornamental pruning is more than cutting off limbs. It is carefully considering how pruning will aid both the tree’s health and beauty. Every tree is different and needs its own type of care. Evergreen Arborists takes the time to find out what you want to accomplish, evaluate the condition of the tree, and then begin creating your masterpiece. Please contact us with questions and to schedule your free ornamental pruning evaluation.
