Treegorilla Tree Care is a team of tree care professionals who are dedicated to the care and preservation of central Arkansas' trees. We are able to achieve this by utilizing the latest and most advanced, along with time honored arbor care techniques and equipment. We take pride in ending our days with healthy trees, happy clients, and beautifully cared for properties. Our commitment to gaining skills and knowledge through online, in-person, and in-house training, along with tree climbing competitions, industry conferences and expos, books, and recreational tree climbing with other tree care pros shows when you spend any time watching our team work or if you talk trees with us. We aim to be low impact on your property and our environment. We look forward to the opportunity to care for your trees. Allow me to introduce our team.
The Treegorilla crews are led by G. Chad Bryant, an ISA Certified Arborist who has been caring for trees since his youth. Chad started in the tree care industry as a teenager working in his father’s tree service in Memphis TN. He went out on his own in Memphis in the spring of 2004, helping with hurricane cleanup in Florida that summer and in Louisiana the next year after Katrina. Chad then started dating the love of his life and relocated back to his hometown of Cabot AR in the fall of 2006 and got married the following summer. He got introduced to the ISA tree climbing competitions and has been involved ever since. He currently serves on the board of the Arkansas Urban Forestry Council, is Co-Chair for the Natural State Tree Climbing Championship, and has been Site leader for Saluting Branches; Arborist United in Veteran Remeberance.
Damon Law is a dedicated ground gorilla and a great one at that. From running the ropes to equipment and trucks and from start to finish he brings a level of knowledge and experience that’s hard to find these days. He is a lifelong Arkansan outdoorsman who has spent a lifetime developing a love for trees while hunting and exploring the forests of Arkansas. His knowledge base from his former career as a fence builder has proven itself useful many times when we’ve needed access to backyards with small gates.
Allen Binger is a climbing Treegorilla on his way to the top. He is also a second-generation arborist who has spent the majority of his career as a removal specialist. Allen joined our team to help us train some of our younger climbers the art of tree removal while also getting to grow in his knowledge and ability to be a better tree pruner.
Derrick Danehower is another exceptional ground/equipment gorilla! He joined our team in the fall of 2023 and quickly fit right in. He came to us with a good working knowledge of tree care operations and has continued to learn and is becoming a great arborist.
Jonathan Wall is our newest treegorilla team member. He is a graduate from Harding University where he competed as a pole vaulter. He has a few years of previous experience in the tree industry but is looking forward to learning more about arboriculture while also growing his skillset as a climber. He is also looking forward to getting involved with the tree climbing competitions.
Jaden Bryant is Chad Bryant's son and our youngest treegorilla team member. He is soaking up everything there is to know about arboriculture while also learning how to safely climb.
501 Life Magizine writer Dwain Hebda met our lead treegorilla Chad Bryant in Hot Springs for the Natural State Tree Climbing Competition in the spring of 2021. Below is the link to the article about the tree climbing competition along with an interview with Chad. 501 LIFE Magazine | Out on a limb and loving it
Chad got talked into volunteering at the southern chapter of the ISA tree climbing competition in Little Rock in 2007. There he found a network of amazing arborists that were willing to teach and develop those around them. He has now judged and teched in events throughout the country and developed close friendships with some of the best tree climbers and tree service owners in the world. In 2018 Chad’s friend David Raines, with the help of the Arkansas Urban Forestry Council, started the first Natural State Tree Climbing Championship and the Treegorilla has been all in ever since. He and David have been the co chairmen for the competition and have seen it continue to grow in popularity beyond our dreams. Look for it to be held on the first full weekend in May every year!
